JigifySkills Business Challenge 2026

Real companies. Real projects. Real learning.

A national digital learning program where students work with real challenges from real companies – in a safe, professional and competition-based framework.

A pilot project for Norwegian upper secondary schools – where we test a new and practice-oriented learning model that connects schools and business in a way never seen before.

International launch coming soon – international schools can already register interest now.

What is JigifySkills Business Challenge?

D-SAT / JigifySkills Business Challenge is a pilot project for Norwegian upper secondary schools, developed to test and validate a new learning model that combines simulation, real company projects and academically anchored competition.

In the project, students work as a professional team: they train skills in simulations, solve real company projects and deliver solutions directly to the company that selects the winners.

The pilot is first conducted in Norway, but the model is developed for multiple countries. International schools can already register interest to join when we open internationally.

Key points:

Real company projects

Structured learning journeys linked to curriculum

Simulation-based skill training

Competition with prizes and professional assessment

Why D-SAT is needed – right now

Solves challenges with the practical learning crisis

Meets curriculum requirements for real-world learning

Gives students real mastery and motivation

Strengthens collaboration between schools and business

Gives teachers documentable professional assessment

Does not require work placements or extra organization

This is not a side project – this is an effective professional model that fits right into teaching.

How JigifySkills Business Challenge works

Step-by-step learning journey:

1. The company provides a real problem

This becomes the foundation for a concrete student project.

2. JigifySkills creates a structured learning journey

Company and market analysis → Production → Feedback → Final delivery – linked to competency goals.

3. Students train skills in Hubro

Here they learn analysis, target groups, messaging, strategic choices and collaboration.

4. Students get access to the project

Brief, target group, delivery requirements.

5. Students work in teams and deliver solutions

Video, presentation or campaign concept – defined per project.

6. The company assesses and selects winners

Quality determines the outcome — just like in working life.

Professional support and feedback throughout the learning journey

In JigifySkills Business Challenge, all students get a safe framework, professional guidance and ongoing feedback that helps them develop through the project.

The goal is not that everyone should be experts – but that everyone should experience progression.

All participants receive:

  • General professional guidance throughout the learning journey
  • Feedback that helps them progress
  • Clear expectations and frameworks
  • Opportunities to try, fail and improve
  • A safe model that supports reflection and mastery
  • With good effort, drive and willingness to learn, students can go far

Extra coaching – for students who really commit (exclusive)

Some student teams show a high level of effort, ambition and willingness to improve.

These can be invited to receive extra coaching from JigifySkills – more targeted and professionally directed guidance that:

  • Further elevates quality
  • Gives the student team insight into industry standards
  • Helps strengthen concept, pitch or production
  • Prepares them for company assessment

Coaching is not guaranteed for everyone — it's an exclusive opportunity for teams that put in the most effort and show potential to deliver at a high level.

Coaching from companies (when relevant)

If the company behind the project sees extra potential in student contributions, some teams may be offered direct coaching or feedback from the company itself.

This only happens where relevant, and is an extra opportunity that can open doors for students who deliver something special.

Example project: The Advertising Specialist

The Advertising Specialist is one of the learning journeys in JigifySkills Business Challenge – a realistic advertising project where students work as a real advertising agency, with a real client and a concrete problem.

Students receive a professional advertising brief and must develop:

  • Target audience analysis
  • A clear communication concept
  • A short advertising film or social media campaign

What teachers and students who participated in development say

This is the first time JigifySkills Business Challenge is launched at scale – but we have already collaborated with several schools in the development phase. The results have been very strong. Here are some of the feedback:

"This was a very good program for the students. They responded better than I expected and put in more work than usual. I like that we consciously incorporate subject terminology – this way I can naturally weave theory into practice. The program was perfect for my group, students got to use their personal strengths, and it gave room for different types of students to succeed. This shows we can set the bar above regular upper secondary curriculum when students are motivated. All in all, I give the program 10 out of 10."

Elisabeth Tonaas Fauske

Sales, Service and Tourism, Drømtorp Upper Secondary School

"The level was significantly higher, and the milestones along the way made students far more motivated. The program is highly relevant for economics, marketing and innovation – and the connection between simulation and film made students understand the whole picture in a completely new way. Even when it became challenging, they experienced that this is how working life actually functions. Very educational and directly transferable. I give the program 9 out of 10."

Britt Susan Roland

Business teacher at Sandefjord Upper Secondary School

Student feedback

Based on student surveys from the final project:

"The feedback removed uncertainty and really helped us develop both the product and our skills."
"This felt more 'skills-oriented' than grade hunting."
"We learned a lot about practical marketing, planning and professional communication."
"Very relevant and good experience we can take with us into working life."
"The most challenging part was finding solutions when our plans didn't work – but that's also what we learned the most from."
"We were deep in the learning pit, but got time and good guidance to climb out again."
"I feel I can take this directly to my exam."
"This felt very realistic – school should work more like this."
"The feedback was good and helped us develop both the assignment and ourselves."
"It was good that the level was higher than regular upper secondary – it made it more serious and engaging."
